PROGRAMS 2025 ~ 2026
November 11-Jenny Rose Carey Presentation
Learn how to create a three-season garden designed to provide continuous blooms and visual interest from Spring through Fall. Renowned gardener, educator, historian, and author, Jenny Rose Carey will talk about her new book, The Essential Guide to Bulbs. She will explain why bulbs have a universal appeal and are great in containers. While many gardeners may be familiar with the early show of Spring bulbs like daffodils and tulips, there are so many more to choose from that provide three-season color, drama, and spontaneity in the garden. November is the perfect time to plant bulbs in our zone 8A location. Afterwards, you will have an opportunity to expand your garden seasons with high-quality bulbs available for sale.
December 9th-Cape May Garden Club Holiday Luncheon
Join us at the Inn of Cape May at 7 Ocean Street in Cape May. Please see the member EVENTS page for details and registration form.
Our two “Make and Take” workshops were very popular last year. In October, we made a Fall floral arrangement for a dining table, using an analogous color scheme of yellow, orange, and red.
At our April meeting, we created a live Spring plant arrangement in a basket. We learned about opposite color combinations on the color wheel and how to line the basket with plastic and burlap. We addedyellow ranunculus, purple pansies, and white Carpet of Snow, andthen finished it off with moss and a decorative watering can pick.
*There will be a nominal cost to GCCM members for supplies.
Payment will be either by mail or at the October or November meeting
